Das neue Album „Labyrinth“ beinhaltet die Singles „Colors“ und „Would You Still Love Me“ und ist Stefanie Heinzmanns 6. Studioalbum. Durch die Corona-Krise hat die Sängerin einen ungeplanten Freiraum gewonnen, der dem neuen Album gut getan hat.

Vor fünf Jahren hatte Stefanie Heinzmann sich eine Auszeit genommen. Der Karriereblitzstart bei Stefan Raabs Castingshow, gefolgt von vier erfolgreichen Alben, TV-Auftritte, Auszeichnungen usw. „Durch Corona habe ich nun ungeplant einen großen Freiraum erhalten‟, erzählt die Sängerin. „Einerseits tut die Krise wirklich weh – vor allem die stiefmütterliche Behandlung vieler Akteure aus der Veranstaltungsbranche. Das ist nicht gut gelöst.“

„Die Absagen waren hart…“

Mit den Gitarristen Moritz Stahl und Philip Breidenbach, mit Bassist Martin Ziaja, Schlagzeuger Patrick Fa und Percussionist Ephraim Salzmann hätte sie im Sommer 2020 mehr als 50 Konzerte gegeben. „Die Absagen waren hart. Andererseits hatte ich auf einmal so viel Zeit, dass ich völlig ohne Druck angefangen habe, Songs zu schreiben…Jeden Morgen bin ich ins Studio gegangen und habe geschaut, auf welche Stile und Themen ich Lust habe‟, sagt sie. An „Labyrinth‟ schrieb sie unter anderem mit Tim Deal (Zoe Wees, Ofenbach), Kalli Reinhardt (Nico Santos, Luna), Joe Walter (LEA, Juli) sowie Michelle Leonhard (Aurora, Alice Merton). „Ich habe gemerkt, dass ich ohne Festivals und Leute um mich herum erst recht einen Sound brauche, der nach vorne geht, der aufbauend ist und zu dem ich tanzen kann. ‟

In „I Believe‟ singt Stefanie Heinzmann davon, Erschöpfung zuzulassen und auf die Hilfe anderer zu bauen. „Wir leben in einer wahnsinnigen Druckgesellschaft und denken, dass wir permanent etwas leisten müssen ‟, erklärt die Sängerin. „Doch wenn wir müde sind, sollten wir dem nachgeben und nicht ständig im Kampf mit uns selbst sein.‟ Ihr warmer, eindringlicher Gesang hat in diesem Song viel Raum zum Atmen und schwingt sich mit einem hoffnungsvollen Groove empor. Auch „Life Goes On‟ ist durchströmt von dieser zutiefst menschlichen, trostspendenden Kraft. „Ich habe das Lied für eine Freundin geschrieben, der es sehr schlecht ging, die kaum aus dem Bett kam. Es erfordert viel Zeit, aus solch einer Phase herauszukommen. Aber ich wollte sie ermuntern, sich das Licht am Ende des Tunnels zumindest vorzustellen. ‟

Große Karriere fernab alles Casting-Vorurteile

Ganze fünf Alben hat Stefanie Heinzmann in den vergangenen 13 Jahren veröffentlicht und dafür zahlreiche Preise abgeräumt. Mehrfach erhielt sie zudem die Swiss Music Awards – im Jahr 2009 in den Kategorien Best Newcomer National und Best Song National für „My Man Is A Mean Man“ sowie in den Jahren 2016 und 2020 jeweils als Best Female Act. Ihre Platte „All We Need Is Love“, die den Zeitgeist ebenso trifft wie unsere Emotionen, stieg in ihrer Schweizer Heimat 2019 direkt auf Platz 1 der Charts ein. / Berry
