Nach den Auskopplungen „Wir waren hier“, „Uns gehört die Nacht“ und „Irgendwas ist immer“ macht die neue Single „Hengstin“ allen rassistischen und sexistischen Kleingeistern eine klare Ansage und ganz ohne den typischen Rocksound der Band. Auf „Hengstin“ wird gerappt und das im Großformat. Dass Jennifer Weist sich das traut ist nicht verwunderlich, aber dass sie Rap tatsächlich auch drauf hat, beweist unter anderem das Video, in dem sich die Musikerin jeglicher Schutzkleidung entledigt und heftig zur Sache kommt. Starke Frauen wie Profi-Skateboarderin Kim Wibbelt, Transgender-Model Pari Roehi oder Bikerin und Motorradclub-Gründerin Cäthe Pfläging sind in dem Clip ebenfalls zu sehen.

Es ist die Fusion aus zutiefst verankertem Humanismus und radikalem Exhibitionismus, zwischen Red Carpet und Punkschuppen, die Jennifer Rostock einzigartig und relevant macht. Allen voran Jennifer Weist, die als eine der aufregendsten und glaubwürdigsten Stimmen für moderne Emanzipation, Selbstbestimmtheit und offenes Miteinander steht. Jennifer Rostock haben nicht nur was zu sagen, sie tun es auch. Neues Label, neues Management, der Sprung ins kalte Wasser. Das fünfte Album der Band heißt „Genau in diesem Ton“ und ist mit dem Einstieg auf Platz 2 der deutschen Albumcharts bereits der zweite Top-3-Entry in zwei Jahren. 

Die Band sagt zum neuen Video: „Wir sind noch weit entfernt von echter Gleichberechtigung. Allerdings wollen wir uns nicht nur beschweren – sondern im Video zum Song auch eine ganze Bandbreite an Vorbildern präsentieren, die sich in ihren Nischen einen Weg geebnet haben. Wir hoffen auf diese Weise, eine nachwachsende Generation an Mädchen ermutigen zu können, ihr Leben selber in die Hand zu nehmen“.
