Tove Lo ist verdammt cool im neuen Video zu „Cool Girl“

Dass Schweden sehr viel gute Musik zu bieten hat, wissen wir alle. Eine der vielen innovativen Musiker dieses Landes ist sicherlich Tove Lo, die in ihrer Heimat schon zwei schwedische Grammy´s abgeräumt hat. Nun meldet sie sich mit neuer Musik, Video und Album zurück. Sehr cool, Girl!

Ist Tove Lo nun ein Geheimtipp oder nicht? Hierzulande kennt man wohl eher ihre Single „Habits (Stay High)“, als sie als Person. Dennoch hat sie für ihr Debüt-Album „Queen of The Clouds“, auf dem eben „Habits (Stay High)“ und „Talking Body“ vorzufinden sind, mehrfach Platin bekommen und wurde mehr als 1 Milliarde Mal gestreamed. Eine Leistung, auf die man sicherlich aufbauen kann und genau das tut sie mit ihrer neuen Single. 

Vom Erfolgs-Thriller „Gone Girl“ inspiriert, erscheint die neue Single „Cool Girl“ im Vorfeld ihrer in Kürze beginnenden sechswöchigen Nordamerika-Tournee mit Maroon 5. Produziert wurde die Single von Tove Lo´s Landsleuten The Struts, die bereits an zahlreichen Projekten der Künstlerin beteiligt waren. Über den Inhalt des Songs, sagt sie: „In Cool Girl geht es um unseren bedauerlichen Hang zu Machtspielen in Beziehungen – wer weniger stark fühlt, hat die Oberhand. Man hält diejenigen für besonders begehrenswert, die die Liebe nicht erwidern oder sich von nichts, was man tut, beeindrucken lassen. Aber in Wirklichkeit wollen wir alle echte, uneingeschränkte Liebe.“ 

Das zweite Album „Lady Wood“ erscheint noch dieses Jahr und kann bereits auf iTunes vorbestellt werden.
